Appreciation
for the use of a home
Now that we have moved to our new home, it is time to say
good bye to what was our daily venue for Mass since last November.
The week Father Ramolla was dismissed from St. Gertrude's, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Gaye opened up their family home for him in time for him to celebrate his first Sunday Mass in Liberty Township. On Sunday afternoon, November 8, a small group of faithful was expected to assemble at their house for this very special Mass. Father was overwhelmed by the support he received, and far more people showed up than expected. For the following Sunday we had to rent a hotel room at the now famous Wingate location, to accommodate the growing number of parishioners seeking refuge from their former church.
But Liberty Township remained the venue for weekday Masses, and for more than eight months, the daily Sacrifice was offered on a makeshift altar in Dennis and Janet's living room. The family had to postpone several planned trips to visit Ohio, but they very willingly made these sacrifices for our new parish and the Mass.

Daily attendance was normally excellent, and many parishioners were able to benefit from her family's hospitality. Now the time has come to pack up our belongings and turn our little chapel back into a living room again. Janet and her family are grateful for all the blessings that these many Masses have bestowed on their home, and we in turn are profoundly grateful to them for providing a home for the Mass. Please keep Dennis, Janet and her family in your prayers.
